Grizzlies Win: 49 - 28
The girls' varsity basketball team went on the road to Nashua North to pick up their fourth straight win by a score of 48-27 over the Titans. The Grizzlies offense struggled to find their rhythm in the 1st quarter, but an end of quarter buzzer beater 3 pointer by Lilly Trnka gave Goffstown some much needed momentum and a 12-6 lead heading into the 2nd. The defensive effort and execution by the Grizzlies held Nashua North to just 17 points through 3 quarters of play and the offense led by Maggie Sasso with 17 points and Ava Winterburn with 14 on the night, did more than enough to solidify the win and help Goffstown improve to 4-1 on the season. Lilly Green, Caroline Foreman and Ella Malouin did some outstanding work on the boards, and Ava Ruggiero and Noelle Simmons set the tone on defense with some tough ball pressure on the North guards.   The girls will have a couple of days off before hosting the Blue Hawks of Exeter at home on December 27th at 6 PM.
