The girls' varsity basketball team traveled to western NH to pick up their 3rd straight win of the season over Keene High School by a score of 63-42. The Grizzlies jumped out to a 21-10 1st quarter lead and held on the rest of the way despite a 3rd quarter run by the Blackbirds. Goffstown was led by strong performances from Ava Winterburn who went for 19 points and 9 rebounds on the night; Ava Ruggiero added 14 points and 5 rebounds; Noelle Simmons added 13 points and 8 rebounds; Lilly Trnka scored 10 and collected 8 boards; Maggie Sasso ran the Grizzly offense and led the team with 4 assists.
The girls' will finish up before the Holiday break at Nashua North tomorrow night. Varsity will tip off at 6:30.
