First period, Colin Holt started the game with a couple of great saves at 11:36 and 11:27.  Windham was mostly at Grizzlies zone, and the players played hard until Windham’s Patrick Higgins scored at 4:40 with Danny Donovan and John Monahan assists.  Windham’s Chad Desoutels scored shortly after at 4:16 with Nolan Cunningham assist.  At 1:45, Windham’s John Monahan scored with Patrick Higgins and Tim Anderson assists.   With the minute left of the period, Grizzlies worked hard in the Windham’s zone to get a score on the board, they had a few shots on Windham’s goalie, Christian Bassi.  Holt had 8 shots on net in the first period.

Second period, Ian Gately had a great shot and almost scored at 14:47, but instead Windham’s John Monahan scored at 14:39 with Danny Donovan and Patrick Higgins assists.  At 9:44, Windham’s Jake Aleksa received a tripping penalty, and shortly afterwards, Windham’s Tim Anderson received a slashing penalty.  This gave a great opportunity for Goffstown to call a time-out.  During the power play, Windham’s goalie took 4 shots until Gately scored at 8:15.  After the time-out, the Grizzlies liven up.  At 3:40, Noah Charron scored his first goal with Gately assist.  Tyler Riendeau received a slashing penalty at 2:34.  During the penalty kill, Windham’s Tim Anderson scored with Patrick Higgins and Mike Tardif assists.  At 30.5 left of the second period, Ben Roy scored with Sam Greenwood and Tyler Riendeau assists.  Charron scored again at 18.9 seconds left of the period.  Holt had a total of 15 shots on net at the end of the second period.

Third period, Windham’s Brad Saklad scored with Davin Granahan and Chad Riddle assists.  Oliver Gunski received a hooking penalty which stopped a breakaway.  At 6:12, Greenwood received a cross-checking penalty, and Holt made a great save during a penalty kill at 4:34.   Gately received a tripping penalty at 2:15 and Holt made another great save during a penalty kill at 1:29.  Holt made a total of 22 shots on net during the game.

Coach Roy’s comment of the game, “This was Noah Charron’s best game in his high school career.  It was a great comeback and the players did not quit.  It was really nice to see.”

Next game is Sunday, January 25th against Kingswood at 2:00pm at Sullivan Arena.  GO GRIZZLIES!
