First period, Ian Gately had the first shot on Somersworth's net at 14:00. At 12:36, Sam Greenwood received a tripping penalty. Colin Holt saved his first shot at 12:27. At 8:01, Dylan Hyers did a great job keeping it in the Somersworth's zone. At 7:18, Somersworth’s Tucker Arnold received a cross-checking penalty. At 5:58, Max Lajeunesse almost scored with the puck on the goalie line until the whistle was blown. At 5:36, Oliver Gunski had a nice shot from the blue line. Lajeunesse received an interference penalty at 5:05. At 4:25, Mason Mable pass from behind the Somersworth’s net to Greenwood but the Somersworth’s goalie, Matt Launsby made a great save. At 3:20, Holt made a great save. At 2:14, Ben Roy scored with Ian Gately and Bryce Milianes with the assist. Somersworth’s Joel Boulanger scored with Cole Gagne with the assist at 22.9 seconds. Holt had a total of 6 shots on him in the first period.
Second period, not long after the puck dropped, Somersworth’s Tucker Arnold scored unassisted at 13:55. At 12:55, Mable received a penalty for interference. Gately scored short-handed at 11:10 unassisted. At 7:42, Greenwood received a penalty for interference. Somersworth’s Aiden Anderson scored at 3:04. Not long afterwards, Mable had a good shot. Mable won the face-off, Chace Dearborn took the puck and scored from the blue line at 58.8 seconds left of the second period. Holt had a total of 14 shots against in the game.
Third period, Connor Easton had the first shot at Somersworth’s net at 14:44. At 12:15, Lajeunesse shot at the open net but the puck went over the net. The game is tied until Gunski scored with Easton with the assist at 2:38. Somersworth called a time-out. Somersworth pulled their goalie with one minute left. At 11.5 seconds left of the game, Grizzlies called for a time-out. At the Grizzlies zone, Greenwood shot at the Somersworth’s empty net but missed by inches. Holt had a total of 17 shots in the game. Grizzlies take in another win at 4 to 3.
Coach Roy’s comment of the game: “Tonight’s highlight was Ben Roy’s first score lifted the team up. Oliver Gunski scored the winning goal at 2 ½ minutes left of the game was great to see.”
This coming weekend is the Holiday Classic at JFK: Friday, December 26th at 2:00pm against Hanover. Saturday, December 27th at 2:00pm against Bedford. Sunday, December 28th at 4:00pm against Central.
