Hall of Fame
The purpose of the Hall of Fame is to recognize exemplary achievement by students, staff or
community members.
Goffstown High School Hall of Fame
The purpose of the Hall of Fame is to recognize exemplary achievement by students, staff or
community members. The Hall of Fame represents recognition of sustained achievements or
distinctions that enhance the lives the Goffstown Educational Community
Consideration for Induction
• Students
1. The nominee must have distinguished himself/herself through exemplary
achievement at Goffstown Area High School.
2. The nominees’ year of graduation must not be within the last five years.
3. The nominee must have displayed exemplary sportsmanship and moral conduct.
4. The nominee must have excelled in one or more activities, bringing honor to
themselves and Goffstown High School.
For example:
All State honors (music, art, athletics)
All American or National Interscholastic Honors
Other extraordinary accomplishments such as establishing school or state records in
their sport.
Brought honor to the school in post high school accomplishments.
5. The nominee may have distinguished themselves in an activity that brought
honor to himself or herself in the community or state or country in her/his chosen
profession.
Note: not all of these examples are necessary for induction
• Staff
Staff members, (including non-teacher advisors or coaches), who have distinguished themselves
over their GHS careers by their contribution to the education and lives of students.
1. Distinguished acts above and beyond the normal expectations of the job
2. Exemplary contributions sustained over time.
3. Exemplary recognition at the state or national level. Development of special or
unique programs state or nationally recognized awards such as teacher of the year
or coach of the year. Inventions, publications or other achievements that
contribute to the life and education of students at GHS.
Community members, and others who have made exemplary contribution to the life of students
and education at GHS
1. Distinguished acts above and beyond the normal expectations.

3. Exemplary recognition at the state or national level. Development of special or
unique programs state or nationally recognized awards such as inventions,
publications or other achievements that contribute to the life and education of
students at GHS.
Hall of Fame Committee
The Goffstown High School Hall of Fame Committee will be made up of thirteen members who
are appointed by the Goffstown High School Principal for terms of three, four, and five years.
When a member’s term expires, the Principal will entertain applications and will fill the position.
If a sitting member leaves the committee then the remaining members of the committee will
accept applications and vote on a candidate to fill the remaining term. The committee will be
comprised of the following:
Goffstown High School Athletic Director, Chair Goffstown High School Academic
Administrator-3 years Goffstown High School
Guidance Counselor-3 years Goffstown High School
teacher/coach-3 years Goffstown High School
*Goffstown at-large Representative-3 years
New Boston Representative-3 years
Dunbarton Representative-3 years
Arts Representative - 3 years
Music Representative-3 years
• At least one at large representative must be a graduate
The Goffstown High School Hall of Fame will honor students, staff, and contributors who are
known for their outstanding efforts and achievements that reflect well upon the school. The Hall
of Fame will serve as an inspiration for the school and community, and it will build a sense of
heritage.
