There will be a parent information meeting on Thursday November 19 at 5:30 in the Step Room (317). The coaching staff as well as the booster club board members will be there to answer any questions you have about this upcoming season.

The varsity team will be competing in the Division II State Tournament on Saturday February 21 at ConVal High School. The bus will leave GHS at 7:00am. Wrestling will begin around 9:00am. For anyone that is unable to attend, the championship round will be broadcast live at 4:00pm on the following website:

The JV State tournament is Saturday 2/14 at Timberlane High School. Wrestlers need to be at Timberlane by 7:45am. All wrestlers are required to stay until everyone has finished wrestling. This will be the final competition for the JV team this season. 

Varsity & JV will be competing on Saturday 02/07 against Bedford and Londonderry at Londonderry High School. The bus will leave at 7:30am. 

Varsity will be competing in the Timberlane Tournament. The bus will leave GHS at 6:45am. Wrestling will begin around 9:00am. 

JV will be competing in the General's JV Jamboree at John Stark High School. Wrestlers need to arrive at JSHS by 1:00pm. Wrestling will begin at 2:00pm. Parents need to supply rides to and from the tournament. John Stark has asked all competing wrestlers to please consider bringing a canned or boxed food item for their "Pin Down Hunger" campaign in support of the Weare food pantry. Please help out if you can.

We have a bye this week so there is no competition on Wednesday. We will have practice during our normal time after school instead. 

The freshmen will be competing in the Freshman State Tournament at Concord High School. Parents need to drive wrestlers to and from the competition. Wrestlers need to arrive by 8:45am.

All other wrestlers will be at GHS for a tri meet against Manchester West and Alvirne. Wrestlers need to arrive by 8:00am. Wrestling will begin at 10:00am. 

Varsity & JV will be wrestling at Merrimack High School on Wednesday January 7. The wrestlers should report for a study hall after school at 3:00. The bus will leave at 4:30 and the match starts at 6:00.

The varsity team will be wrestling in the Winnisquam Tournament at Winnisquam High School on Saturday January 10. The bus will depart GHS at 7:00am, and wrestling will begin at 9:15. 

Coach Detjen will be collecting the money for the raffle ticket fundraiser. It is due no later than January 27, which is still a couple weeks away, so let's keep selling! 

Varsity & JV will be wrestling at Manchester Memorial on Saturday at 2:00pm against Memorial and Pinkerton Academy. The bus will leave GHS at 12:30. Wrestlers should be at school by noon.

Tuesday 12/23: Home match against Hollis Brookline (Varsity & JV). Wrestlers report at 3:30 for film.

Saturday 12/27: Lowell Holiday Tournament (Varsity). Report to GHS at 6:15. JV is off.

Sunday 12/28: Lowell Holiday Tournament (Varsity). Time is TBA. JV is off. 

Monday 12/29: JV tournament at Windham High School. Report to Windham High School at 8:15am. Parents must provide rides to and from the tournament. Varsity is off.

Tuesday 12/30: Practice 11:00-12:30

Friday 1/2: Practice 11:00-12:30

Saturday 1/3: Tri meet at Manchester Memorial (Varsity & JV). Bus leaves GHS at 12:30.

We will be wrestling ConVal High School at home on Wednesday December 17. All wrestlers should wear a collared shirt and tie/bowtie to school, and should report back to school by 4:00pm for a mandatory study hall. The varsity match will begin at 6:00pm with JV matches taking place before.

The varsity team will be competing in the Nor-easter Invitational at Hollis Brookline High School on Saturday December 20. The bus will leave GHS at 7:15am, and wrestling will begin at 9:00am. The lineup will be announced by Wednesday December 17.  JV will not be competing and will have the weekend off. 

The bus departure for tomorrow's (12/13) varsity tournament has been changed. The team will leave GHS at 6:30am, not 5:30am. Wrestling should begin around 9:00am. 

There will be a bus taking the JV team to the Concord tournament on Saturday 12/13. The bus will leave GHS at 8:00am. Parents/Guardians will be responsible for taking wrestlers home after the event. Wrestlers are expected to stay for the entire tournament to support their teammates. 

The dual meet against Hollis-Brookline has been changed. It will take place on Tuesday December 23 at 6:00pm. 

The annual Grizzly Brawl is on Saturday December 06 at MVMS. Wrestling will begin at 9:00am.  Please contact the booster club if you can assist with food, working the day of, etc.
