WINDHAM HIGH SCHOOL: 18
The Lady Grizzlies hosted the Windham Jaguars on Thursday May 12. In the first half of the game the Jaguars were the first to strike, scoring three unanswered goals; however, the Grizzlies persevered and chipped away at the lead tying the game seven minutes into the first half. The Grizzlies found themselves in the lead at the fifteen minute mark, but the Jaguars evened the score again and didn't look back. At the conclusion of the half it was the Jaguars up 10-5. The Grizzlies continued to fight in the second half but the Jaguars shots just kept coming, ending the game at 18-7. Regardless of final score, the Grizzlies overcame many obstacles and played a very respectable game against the current points leader in the DII battle. The Grizzlies play again on Friday May 13 at home against Merrimack Valley.
