Goffstown Grizzlies hosted the Keene Blackbirds to open the season on Monday and came away with a 14-7 win. Scoring contributions were made by many on the Grizzly Offense including Sydney Gagnon who had multiple goals, Sarah Cuddy, and Ali Larochelle each with a pair and Sydney Dubois, Katie Buciak, Monique Sirois, Maya Harvey, Chloe Smith and Alyssa Bourque adding to the tally.
The Defensive unit was poised and neutralized any fast break effort that was made against them. Goaltender Kersten Daneau had a solid day in goal, making 10 recorded saves.
