An outstanding effort by Nate Proulx led Grizzlies to a 6-1 win in seven innings over Oyster River on Monday. Proulx's nine strikeouts helped Grizzlies to the victory. Proulx allowed one earned run on three hits and no walks over seven innings. Tyler Small helped Grizzlies take the lead for good in the sixth inning. With Grizzlies trailing by one in the sixth inning, Small came to the plate and singled, scoring Peter Hunt and Proulx. Small racked up two RBIs on two hits for Grizzlies. Oxford ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. He lasted just 5 2/3 innings, walked six, struck out nine, and allowed four runs. The second inning saw Oyster River score its only run on the day on a groundout by Owen Tonkin. Grizzlies piled on two more runs in the top of the seventh. A clutch ground out scored Kyle Perron to open the scoring in the frame. That was followed up by Jacob Hunt's single, scoring Cody Morel.
