Boys Basketball Home Opener The Grizzlies were preseason ranked 5th (NH Notebook) and 7th (NH Sportspage) however they fell to the Jaguars of Windham 63-51 this Friday. Lead by preseason 2nd team all-state player Marcus Haynes, the Grizzlies jumped out to a quick lead that vanished as the second half came around. At the half, the Grizzlies were up 30-23, however they had tough time moving the ball in the second half and couldn't find consistent offense. Despite Haynes' 26, 15 of which came by way of three ball, Goffstown struggled offensively in the second half. They just couldn't hit shots in the second half. Rob Girardin also contributed 10 points for the Grizzles, whose next game is against the Raiders of Lebanon, who should be atop the standings in Division II. If the Grizzlies can hit shots the whole game this time, the Raiders should be in for a tough battle. The Lebanon game is on January 2nd of the new year, hope to see a lot of fans there to support.
