The Grizzlies were able to cap off an amazing 17-2 season by defeating Windham 3 to 2 in 8 innings on Wednesday, June 3rd to capture the 2015 Merrimack Valley Division II JV Tournament title. The Grizzlies had already defeated Windham 16 to 6 in the semi final matchup but would need to do it again to capture the title, Taylor French got the start for the Grizzlies and threw 3 innings, allowing 1 run, while scattering 4 hits, walking 1 and striking out 4. Matt Woodward earned the win in relief throwing 5 innings while allowing 1 run and scattering 8 hits, walking 1 and striking out 5. The Grizzlies were led on offense by Nick Labrie who had a huge 2 RBI single in the first inning Ethan Smith who went 2 for 4 with 2 singles and Nick Mattison who went 0 for 1 with 2 walks and scored the bases loaded walk off run on a pinch hit walk by Jeremy Barss in the bottom of the 8th. The Grizzlies had a tremendous season and capped it off by taking the tournament title. 3 Grizzlies players who led the team in almost every offensive category were called up to Varsity for the 2015 Division II Varsity playoffs, Sophomore Pitcher/Outfielder Matt Woodward, Sophomore Third Baseman Cody Morel and Freshman Shortstop/Catcher/Outfielder Ethan Smith.
